It was an amazing and beautiful moment during this year’s Homowo festival. The Asere Nikoi Olai moved with his entourage throughout the land, sprinkling the Kpokpoi (made of corm and palm nut soup) signifying the abundance of food after a long period of hunger. This is a time to appreciate the gods of the land for the abundant harvest and to request for from the ancestors for the living.
